Frequently Asked Questions
How can I change my IP address?
You can change your server's IP address by going to its detail page and click Actions followed by Change IP. The IP address of a server can be changed once every 48 hours. Please note that this action will incur as service fee of (as of today) 2,50€ incl. VAT.
How can I change the location of my server?
It is not possible to change your server's location as this would require a migration of your server to a different physical server in another country and the allocation of a new IP address from that location. If you need a server in a different location, you'll have to order a new server and perform a manual migration of your data between the servers.
What's the network speed of my server?
All servers are connected to our network with a 100 Mbps port. That maximum port speed can be upgraded to 1 Gbps by ordering the Gigabit Upgrade for your server. Please note that the network speed is not guaranteed and can vary depending on the current network load and the target the traffic is going to.
How can I use a domain with my server?
You can use a domain with your server by creating an A
or AAAA
record that points to your server's IP address. Kindly notice that we don't offer any DNS- or domain-related services. To create that record(s) you'll need to use the DNS service of your domain registrar or a third-party DNS provider.
Can I refund or delete my server?
No, that's not possible. Upon ordering a server, you select an initial runtime, and you commit yourself to that runtime. In return, we give you a discount on the server's price when you choose a longer runtime. If you don't want to use a server anymore, you can simply disable auto-extension for it and after the end of its runtime, it will be automatically deleted.
Of course, if you have any issues with your server, you can always contact our support, and we'll try to help you as good as we can. If there's a technical issue with your server, we'll refund you for the runtime that was affected by the issue.
How do I turn off the auto-renewal option?
All servers come with auto-renewal (or auto-extension) disabled by default. If you already enabled it, you can disable it again under the Settings tab of the server's page in our client portal.
What does IPv6-only mean?
That means that your server will not get an IPv4 address but only an IPv6 address. The implications of that are described in more detail in the IP Address section of our documentation.
Can I order a server for less than 1 month?
Unfortunately, that's not possible. The minimum runtime for a server is 1 month. Hourly billing is not possible.
